As soon as it was announced that a new Ghostbusters film would be coming to theaters, the Internet lit up with excited fans talking about the new movie. According to a report from Cinema Blend, director Paul Fieg has announced that the first trailer for the upcoming movie will be released shortly.

The director took to Twitter to announce the launch of the new Ghostbusters website, and told fans when to expect the first trailer to air. While the director didn't give a solid date for the trailer's release, he told fans that they could expect to see it sometime before the end of the month.

This Ghostbusters film will be slightly different from the 80's classics that were a cinematic mainstay for so long. Cinema Blend reports that the new Ghostbusters team will be made up entirely of women, and some fans didn't seem too happy about this idea. The trailer has yet to be unveiled, however, so complaints up to this point are all still completely speculative.

The trailer is expected to reveal critical information about the plot, which has been kept under wraps by the production team. The film will supposedly follow protagonist Kristen Wiig, a failed professor who joins the Ghostbuster team alongside Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Jones, and Kate McKinnon. It is revealed that Wiig wrote a boon about the existence of ghosts, and she has no choice but to look for work busting the real thing.

There is little else known to the public about the movie at this time, but the trailer is sure to hold people off until the film's release.
