Homeland doesn't often get involved in hacking cases. But the nature of this case has called for the involvement of one of the highest security departments in the country. The Ghostbusters actress private information was released to her website. Apart from, nude photos that hackers left, they also left hateful, sexist and racist message, perhaps the primary thing that made homeland security take the case.

Jones' team quickly took the website offline. However, this was too late as the images and information were already in the public domain. Celebrities, friends, and family, have come to her defense, saying that the hacking was one of the worst they have ever seen. More often than not, hackers are seen as immature professionals with too much time on their hands. But the extent of this hacking has made people believe that this is not child's play, and the hackers were out to destroy and humiliate her.

Yiannopoulos become a prime suspect after his review of Ghostbusters. His review was incredibly harsh but had firm believers following it. Jones came out very strongly to defend the movie and the critic's article. Some experts now believe that his fans may have been involved in the disgraceful act.

"I was distressed to hear that Leslie Jones has been hacked, and naked pictures of her have been posted online," he said Wednesday on Facebook. "I know we had our differences after my review of Ghostbusters, but I wish her all the best during what must be a very traumatic experience."
