Many Silicon Valley companies see artificial intelligence as a major player in the technology field in a few years.

With Google and Facebook, that application is quite straight forward with voice control topping that list. But Uber see A.I as a way to push the borders a little further.

The tech company has acquired a small A.I research company called Geometric Intelligence with its team if around 15 scientists. The team will be part of the new Uber branch that will study on how to make artificially controlled cars.

Self-driven cars is not a new concept, with Google already doing multiple test drives. However, how does Uber apply self-drive technology to their concept?

The believe is that Uber stand most to benefit from such an idea. Self Driven Uber vehicles that are summoned by the app and arrive on the scene without delay fuse.

"Every major company releases how important A.I is to what they're doing," said Dr. Marcus part founder of Geometric Intelligence. "Because of the scale of data people are operating on, even the smallest gaining efficiency can turn out enormous changes at these companies, especially in terms of profit."

Dr. Marcus says he has a lot more to work with after joining Uber. The data the tech company collects daily is enormous and whole help their research comes on a lot smoother. Uber sasthat they were at liberty to purchase a number of A.I companies, but what stuck out with Geometric Intelligence is their dynamic nature. They use roughly 15 A.I concepts in their research.
