Microsoft is committed to bringing its experiences to other platforms, but to also keep them updated and fresh, according to neowin. This week, it has been reported that there is a new beta update for Microsoft Edge on Android, and the company is also releasing a refreshed news app fro both Android and iOS.

Today marks the start of the testing phase for version 4.11 of its Launcher for Android. The update, carrying the build number, is focused on a series of improvements to existing aspects of the launcher, rather than adding completely new features such as the expected Timeline integration.

Some of the improvements in today’s update include multi-turn SMS and calling support with Cortana, as well as enhancements to the family safety features first added in version 4.10. It also improves users’ reading experience with the company’s Edge browser.

Although there doesn’t appear to be any major new features, the update should make the entire user experience easier and more intuitive. It’s also possible Microsoft could add more features in the following beta builds before the final version of 4.11 is released to the general public. Currently, customers can download Microsoft Launcher from the Play Store, and can also sign up for the beta program.
